Niko True Cage
We designed this fully functional prototype for a cinematographer friend of ours who wanted a cage with maximum mounting flexibility. Like our Niko Cage, this one is also based on the use of the Kippertie LC PL/EF Adapter or the Mofage Poco PL Adapter.

Camera Mounting
The up to two screw-on mounts (Adapta support brackets), in combination with the stud bolt and the 1/4-UNC screw, hold the Nikon ZR securely in place and can withstand even heavy PL lens configurations.
On the underside, two 3/8-UNC and 1/4-UNC threads ensure a secure tripod mount, even when an off-axis mounting is required to allow access to the battery compartment.
The lens adapter brackets extend the mounting surface with an additional 3/8 UNC thread on both sides (top/bottom).
Rod Support
The key to the mounting options lies in the symmetrical, flat surface on all sides of the cage. Up to four 15 mm rods or standard rigging rods with a diameter of 5/8 inch can be screwed (3/8 UNC) to the front.
Nato Rail Ribs
The unique NATO ribs complete the cage and provide the structure with additional stability as well as numerous mounting options. They feature 1/4-UNC and 3/8-UNC threads with locating holes, as well as a NATO rail mount. The clamping system ensures easy repositioning without compromising the cage’s flat-surface design principle.
Arca Swiss Support
The Arca Swiss plate can be bolted onto the cage using four M4 screws, either on the bottom or on the side.
